I commend you for writing a book. What a commitment that was! I started with "my story" and was hooked. I found this book warm, down to earth, personable, and of course, informative. To anyone remotely thinking about becoming a realtor, your book is a "must read." Many suggestions, of course, could be applied to other professions.

I'm with you in many things: putting God first, taking my worries/burdens to God in prayer, writing God (I journal daily and find it helps me focus my life), and taking time to be still with the Lord to refresh myself. I like the example of the large rocks, smaller rocks, etc. Good food for thought! You're wise and blessed to spend Thursdays with your dear Bella. You're making deposits in your and her memory bank.

I, too, realize the importance, to us, the necessity of having dogs. We have two Pomeranians. We call them our M&M's. Canine Blessings! And I, as you, have to get up early and enjoy the most beautiful time of day and to greet the sun as it rises. I have my devotion in the quietness of the early morning. Greatest book ever! You would not believe the wonderful timing this was. I have been reading Tribes by Seth Godin and Release your Brilliance by Simon Bailey both highly motivating, but I needed yours to round out the DISC factor. I had the privilege of getting a copy of your book recently through our Keller Williams Team Leader, Audie Street. I must say many of your philosophies and ours are a match. I understand you have a great business and hear great things about you. I haven't honestly had a chance to sit down with your book and read it through. However, in reading some of it's content, I see where you refer to "rocks" (Keller Williams - that's Big Rocks) being placed in your schedule. Finished your book last night---It is excellent!!!!!!! I love the foreword, loved all of the quotes. It was very current, relevant, and held my attention. The information was generalizable way beyond real estate. As I was reading, I kept saying---Oh, I need to do this or I need to do that. Especially enjoyed the part about not hiding aspirations as I tend to do that. Also like your continual emphasis on faith. Darlene Hammond is an inspiration. She never lost faith as she learned the importance of getting ones priorities in order. Life is precious and Darlene treats it that way - giving her all in all she does. I received more than I gave in the morning sessions with Darlene that helped her shape the substance of the story. Darlene began in a challenging situation - her life was not easy and yet she recognized the blessing at the core of her life. The love that God provides to all of us and in her beloved son David, a teenaged divorced mother was staring life right in the face. She had the support of wonderful friends and special family members who watched her son as she went to night school. After a year of total focus she had her degrees and was working as a Dental assistant during the week with the best day care for David she could afford. When David was old enough they would go together to Darlene's weekend jobs. Darlene had no time for false pride and far too much pride to expect anyone else to support she and her son. Together they charged forward, creating a life that has been so full of experiences - of all emotional dimensions - that we return to Darlene with a true new love in her life, seizes her dreams - opens a Real Estate Agency and succeeds beyond the dreams that the young scared mother could have ever dreamed when trying to think of how to get gas to get to her work. To say that I respect Darlene Hammond is an understatement. She is a brave woman that opens herself up to inspection. The result is a uniquely pointed book that provides a real path for anyone who holds God first, Family second and Business third. Darlene really does have her priorities straight and while I had the honor of writing many of Darlene's thoughts down, in the end this is her book - her story - her system and her gift to you. Believe me, this was not an easy endeavor - like everything else in her life - Darlene has put her heart and soul into this book.
